4th Grade Behavior/Responsiblity Contract
Students are expected to follow the four rules below. Following these rules enables our class to learn and grow in a safe, happy, and secure environment. Please spend time going over the rules and their consequences with your child.
1. Be Respectful: You may not hurt anyone at school; this includes hurting with words and hands. Anything that does not belong to you must be handled carefully, including school property such as desks and books. Respecting adults and other students throughout the building. Listening in the classroom, and throughout the school. Following school rules at all times.
2. Be Responsible: Using proper behavior and language in the classroom and throughout the building. Classwork and homework is completed and turned in on time in order to be the best learner possible. Always allowing others the opportunity to learn and complete work as well. Taking care of belongings and property. Bring proper materials to school each day.
3. Be Safe: Keep hands to self. Keep under control while playing. Following rules especially listening to adults to stay safe.
4. BE MOTIVATED!: We expect that all students come to school ready to learn, and with a positive attitude towards work, participation, peers and adults.

4th Grade Behavior Policy
*The fourth grade uses a behavior/responsibility color chart in class. Moving down or changing colors results in rewards or consequences.

•Homerun: Great job! Student followed all rules and was responsible.
•Strike One: Students are given one warning to correct behavior
• Strike Two: After receiving a warning, student continued to break a rule. Student misses 10 minutes of second recess time.
• Strike Three: Student broke rules more than once and will miss all of second recess time.
Important: ALL STUDENTS WILL START ON BATTER UP AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH NEW DAY!

- BENCHED: Note from child will go home explaining what occurred to get benched or a phone call home from the teacher. Lunch and afternoon recess will be taken for the day.
